Gingrich touts moon base, Mars journey

Cocoa, Florida–Newt Gingrich says several thousand people today there would be “a permanent base on the Moon” and revolutionary focus on another program space at the end of a second term as President.

GOP presidential candidate said he had a “romantic beliefs really are part of our destiny,” adding that the current state of the space program was a “tragedy.”

Gingrich, a former speaker of the House, said it will also “perpetual propulsion system” which will allow travel to Mars in a period of time.

Governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney has been mocking Gingrich to proposals for a colony on the Moon-comment Gingrich said that shows the difference between “romantic” and “called practical people.”

Gingrich said the idea that people could live a day in the month or easily explore space will inspire children and innovators of the future to make the dream of as it happens.
