A small plane crash in Arizona, killing 6

A small plane crashed into a cliff in the mountains East of Phoenix and miles high burst, killing six people, including the pilot and three young children who are spending the Thanksgiving weekend with him, authorities said.

Ten deputies who spent the night on the mountain was relieved by ten early Thursday. They and dozens of volunteers began looking for a light crash site. Video of a news helicopter Thursday morning show debris being loaded at the bottom of the cliff blackened.

The dead included the pilot and his son of three, two boys and girls ages 5-9, Babeu said. Father lives in Safford in southeastern Arizona and owned a small business flights there.
